Minerals play a crucial role in maintaining our overall health and well-being. From regulating metabolism to supporting the immune system, these essential nutrients are foundational to how the body functions.
We are, quite literally, made of minerals and water.

Minerals act as keys that activate countless enzymes in the body, driving the processes that allow us to function, repair, and adapt. When minerals are balanced, the body operates with efficiency. But when they are deficient or dysregulated, the body begins to fall into patterns of dis-ease.
While symptoms may express differently from person to person, the way we create energy is the same. When the body is supported in proper mineral balance—and in the right hierarchy—energy production improves. And with that energy, the body can begin to clear out its own metabolic “exhaust.”
As Morley Robbins, creator of the Root Cause Protocol, states:“There is no such thing as disease, only metabolic dysfunction caused by mineral dysregulation.”
Understanding the hierarchy of minerals—and their role in metabolism—allows us to work with the body rather than against it. Healing becomes less about chasing symptoms and more about restoring the conditions that allow the body to function as it was designed.
Even with the best intentions, it’s easy to make the mistake of taking minerals in isolation—based on trends, assumptions, or even lab results—without understanding how they interact within the larger system. Minerals do not work alone; they work in relationship, in sequence, and in balance.
Our ancestors consumed diets rich in naturally occurring minerals, providing the body with what it needed to maintain strength, resilience, and the ability to respond to stress and infection. Today, we are surrounded by conflicting information and ever-changing health trends. Many are searching for a single solution—a supplement or food that promises to fix everything—only to find themselves further out of balance over time.
In my own work with mineral balancing, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing what happens when the body is supported correctly. I’ve worked with a client whose prostate markers returned to normal levels, and with a 75-year-old retired MD who experienced relief from lifelong restless legs syndrome and chronic sleep disruption—for the first time. These experiences continue to validate the importance of mineral balance and reinforce my commitment to sharing this work.
In a world full of confusion and misinformation, understanding how the body truly functions is not just empowering—it’s essential.
